Rough Trade Bristol

Rough Trade Bristol is the city's branch of the famous independent record shop, with a decent-sized gig space attached. It is at 3 New Bridewell on Nelson Street, next to The Lanes and Strange Brew.
Rough Trade's punk credentials go back to 1976 and Geoff Travis's Rough Trade Records, home to Stiff Little Fingers, Cabaret Voltaire and the C86 compilations that defined UK indie. The first shop opened in West London. Bristol's opened in 2018 and added a solid 150 to 200-capacity room to the city centre.
Free and ticketed events run most nights, from in-store album launches and signings to full gigs. Past shows have ranged from big names like Idles and Throbbing Gristle's Chris Carter to local acts such as Bad Tracking and Elder Island.
There is also a café and bar, so it works as a daytime record-shopping stop as well as an evening venue.
Upcoming shows include NewHvn, Asher White, Foot Foot, 60 Juno and Portrayal of Guilt, plus acoustic and signing sessions with Editors and The Blue Aeroplanes in November.
