PTS Halloween: Pearson Sound & Shannen SP

PTS hosts its seventh annual Halloween party, and its first at Strange Brew, with Hessle Audio's Pearson Sound headlining. Headfirst flagged it with a sell-out warning.

Pearson Sound emerged from the mid-2000s dubstep scene as Ramadanman. Alongside Ben UFO and Pangaea he co-founded Hessle Audio, one of the labels that redrew UK dance music after dubstep, and his skeletal, pressure-heavy productions sit between UK bass and techno.

He is joined by Shannen SP, whose sets explore Afro-diasporic bass and South African club sounds, Brussels' Iced Lattina on her Bristol debut, and PTS regulars fig and meterman playing a warm-up together.

There is music in the back room with lighting by ex.icon, and a chillout room at the front.

Strange Brew on Fairfax Street was set up by the promoters behind Dirtytalk and opened in 2020. It is a DIY bar, venue and art space with a 3am licence. 18+.
