After Dark

After Dark is a small underground club, music venue and cocktail bar in Crusader House on St Stephen's Street, in the heart of Bristol's Old City. It was formerly known as Death Disco.
It describes itself as a multi-genre underground nightclub with forward-thinking programming across house, deep house and garage, championing local talent in intimate, DJ-led nights. Headfirst notes that the music also stretches to dub, funk, emo, hip hop and soul, from a mix of guests and residents. The room is powered by a Martin Audio sound system.
Capacity is about 160 to 180, so nights feel packed and close. Weekend happy hours, cheap early drinks deals and low ticket prices have made it a consistent student favourite. It is not wheelchair accessible.
Regular nights include Casa Disco, its feel-good house and disco party. This month After Dark hosts Casa Disco with Paradisco's Safiye on 24 October, a Halloween house night with Jesse P on 30 October and a Pure FM garage takeover on 31 October.
