Electric Bristol is a big live music and club venue on Nelson Street in the city centre, close to The Lanes, Rough Trade and Strange Brew. It was known for years as SWX, a student party mecca, before Electric Group, the operator behind Electric Brixton, rebranded it.

After lockdown the venue brought live music into its programme. It has since hosted international touring acts including Magdalena Bay, Waxahatchee, Mobb Deep and Kneecap, and has been a host venue for local festivals Ritual Union and Dot to Dot.

Club nights are still a big part of the calendar, with drum and bass, jungle, house and techno in regular rotation. The building is multi-storey with an 1,800 capacity.

On access, lift access is available but must be arranged with the venue in advance, and carer passes are available. Further details are on the venue's FAQ page.

This autumn's highlights include Dusky's Halloween show on 30 October, Culture Shock on 20 November and Nero's 15 Years of Welcome Reality on 27 November.
