Bristol Beacon

Bristol Beacon, on Trenchard Street, is the city's best-known concert hall and comedy venue. It is a music charity as well as a venue, and an award-winning music education hub.
Headfirst calls it Bristol's most documented venue. The programme varies a lot: some nights it is comedy, other nights big-name pop gigs, orchestral concerts or world music. If a legend is coming to Bristol, there is a good chance they will play here.
A major refurbishment in 2009 added a gold exterior and a foyer performance space and bar, which hosts smaller or free events. The venue has since had a much larger, multi-year transformation, reopening under its new name.
It is not a club in the late-night sense, but it is a big part of the city's music life and occasionally hosts dance events, including youth house nights.
Upcoming shows include The Blindboy Podcast, Tom Davis's Spudgun, KeiyaA, and Mariam singing Amadou & Mariam.
